Introduction Camp Jubilee Blessing Bags Meal-a-Day Agape in Action

Introduction

We strive to be involved in both our local community and the worldwide community in order to fulfill James' definition of what religion actually should be: "Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world" (James 1:27, ESV). Click on the various tabs to find out more about our various initiatives and causes that we regularly support.

Camp Jubilee

Camp Jubilee aims to provide a fun camp experience where young people can share their faith and love for Our Heavenly Father with the next generation. The camp is focused on studying God's word together and strengthening friendships within our community.

Camp Jubilee 2018!!

Theme: Faithful like Moses

When: August 6th (evening) - 10th (afternoon), 2018

Where: Disciples Conference Grounds, Ontario

Camper Ages: 9-15 years

Cost: $100 / first child; $90 / second child; $80 / each subsequent child
Therefore, holy brethren, sharers with others in a heavenly invitation,
fix your thoughts on Jesus, the apostle and high priest
whose followers we profess to be
.

How faithful Jesus was to Him who appointed him,
just as Moses also was faithful in all God's house!

Encourage one another, day after day, so long as "today" lasts,
so that not one of you may be hardened
through the deceitful character of sin.

For we have, all alike, become sharers with Christ
if we really hold our first confidence firm to the end

Hebrews 3:1-2;13-14.

Blessing Bags

Many of our Sunday School students periodically assemble a large amount of "Blessing Bags." These bags are taken by our members and handed out to any people in need that we meet in our daily travels around the city. They include necessities such as: bottled water, warm socks, snacks, basic hygiene products, and an uplifting Bible verse.

Meal-a-Day

Christadelphian Meal-a-Day Fund of the Americas is a charitable organization dedicated to showing compassion through a range of projects to our neighbours in need in the developing areas of South and Central America and the Caribbean. We also help with relief work in North America. Our mission is to do good works in the name of Jesus. We support Meal-a-Day in a variety of ways including fundraisers such as silent auctions, collections taken by our Sunday School students and by sending willing members on international build projects.

Agape in Action

Agape

Agape in Action is a charity run by volunteers with offices in Canada, United States and Australia. Through Agape in Action you can sponsor a child, sponsor a project or contribute to providing life saving medicines and medical care. We regularly contribute to Agape in Action through collections taken by our Sunday School students.

We work closely with the CBM-UK and local ecclesias to ensure that our activities are coordinated and directed in the most effective way possible.

Although the needs are enormous, Agape in Action aims to affect change one child at a time, one family at a time. Our name reflects our intention of putting love (‘agape’) into action by responding compassionately to those who are in need. Our tagline ‘Life, Opportunity and Hope’ highlights our commitment to nurturing both the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of children and families living with the effects of poverty.
